NOW HIRING: CONSERVATION PROGRAM MANAGER
The VYCC is in search of a qualified, energetic person to fill
the Conservation Program Manager position. This is a full-time, year-round
position that will involve the development and leadership of the VYCC’s
Conservation Program.
The Program Manager is responsible for building a highly motivated team to
manage all aspects of the Conservation Program. The individual must be highly
organized, have strong communication skills, and be passionate about both the
frontline and behind the scenes work of supporting Conservation crews in the
field. The successful candidate will exude confidence, have a demonstrated
ability to work independently as well as within a close team, and possess a
strong desire to build a statewide conservation work and education program.

Northern Forest Canoe Trail 2012 Internship Opportunities – Time to Apply!
Apply now for NFCT Stewardship and Youth Program internship positions! Work
outside and hone your leadership, outdoor education, and trail work skills. We
are recruiting four Stewardship Interns and three Youth Program Interns.
Positions come with training, professional development, a stipend of $250 per
week, and an opportunity to work with great people in super scenic locations.

Trail Crew Members and Trail Crew Leader (PG 10 and PG 12;
$10.21/hour and $11.14/hour). Two roving 4-person crews responsible for routine
trail maintenance and technical trail projects in Vermont State forests and
parks. Both northern Vermont and southern Vermont crews will be traveling
between work areas and may stay at nearby state parks during the work week.

Craftsbury Outdoor Center needs a Ski Shop Employee
Applicants should have a strong background in nordic skiing and enjoy customer
service. Familiarity with ski repair and preparation a plus, as is first aid
background - but neither are required. Duties include ski and snowshoe rentals,
sales, back shop work (including binding mounts, waxing and so forth), stocking
retail and food items, ski instruction for all ages, leading groups on the
trail, as well as other other responsibilities.

Relaxed professional atmosphere, twenty hours a week to start, pay commensurate
with experience. A passion for skiing is desirable, but not necessary.

October 5, 2011 Part time project manager with Friends of the Winooski River
The Friends of the Winooski River is seeking applications for a
part time project manager. This is a contract position that would run for the
calendar year 2012, with a possible extension through 2013 pending projects and
funding. This position will report to the Executive Director. He/she will be
responsible for managing the project specific budgets, tasks/timeline and
producing status reports and invoices as required by grantors and the Executive
Director. The hourly compensation will range from$15to $25 per hour (no
benefits) and will be commensurate with experience. Direct expenses including
mileage will be reimbursed. The total number of hours for 2012 is expected to
range from 750to 900. Because of the field nature of the work, the hours will be
spread somewhat unevenly through the year, but in general will range from 10 to
20 hours per week. The highest concentration of work will be in April, May,
