There is even a great little swimming hole, a perfect place for a bonfire in the evening while waiting for the stars to come out. Liberty Hill Farm has been an operating dairy farm since 1787 with a current herd of 160 registered Holsteins. You are always welcome to come down to the barn to watch the milking or even help feed the baby calves, or play with the kittens. The house is all that you would expect of a 150 year old, 18 room farmhouse--the beautiful butternut moldings in the living room, a big kitchen where everyone congregates, and plenty of elbow room for those who just want to relax and read.

The Bunkhouse is located in a sparsely populated, mountainous area, of Central Vermont. This is one of the largest remaining tracts of land in the State with the least number of traveled public roads. The interesting attraction of all this empty land is that it is crisscrossed with endless miles of abandoned Class 4 town roads and old logging trails. These are not maintained for vehicular traffic but are still perfectly useable for the purposes we are offering. These roads and lands consist of thousands and thousands of acres of un-inhabited forest land, all accessible from the Bunkhouse. The VAST snowmobile trail is only a few hundred feet from the far end of our property. EQUESTRIAN FACILITIES: A 90 x 200 outdoor riding arena. There are six 14 ft x 30 ft paddocks with cover for your horses. A fenced in pasture with a run-in to accommodate 2-3 horses. There is a Tack Shack with saddle racks and storage for all your equipment. Lodging for you and your horse.

Come stay with us and enjoy the atmosphere of a small family run Vermont farm. Jay Peak is only 15 minutes away. Our farmhouse dates back to 1892 and offers comfortable, smoke-free, country accommodations with a family atmosphere. The newly renovated kitchen and patio are ideal for breakfast, which features Pauline's cooking made to order. Behind the house is the dairy barn, with little calves, cats, along with the milking cows. Our Sugarhouse is just a few yards up the hill.
