Pine Marten Press Publishing House, Charlotte, VT 05445
Vermont Warden Humor Book Released
“Vermont Wild,” a first of its kind collection of hilarious true adventures of
Vermont Fish and Game wardens has been just published by Pine Marten Press.
“Vermont Wild” features Eric Nuse’s encounters with gun wielding poachers, love
struck moose, hungry bears, raucous raccoons and the strangest use of dynamite
you’ll ever read. Nuse is well known to many Vermonters. He spent 32 years
patrolling the woods and waters of the Northeast Kingdom and organizing outdoor
education. This book is a collection of his funniest adventures. Each story is
illustrated with cartoon caricatures drawn by Bob Lutz, a Vermont warden for 23
years. Megan Price, an award-winning former Vermont journalist and magazine
writer is the book’s author. Carrie Cook Designs of Cambridge created the cover
art. Titles include “Raccoon Riot, Moose Vesuvius, Gimmee the Gun, Too Loose
Moose, Cover Me, Squish in the Night, Bear? Where?” and many more. The book is
suitable for children aged 10 and up through retirees. Published in paperback,

Horseback Riding, Snowmobiling, Mountain Biking, Hiking
The Bunkhouse is located in a sparsely populated, mountainous area, of Central
Vermont. This is one of the largest remaining tracts of land in the State with
the least number of traveled public roads. The interesting attraction of all
this empty land is that it is crisscrossed with endless miles of abandoned Class
4 town roads and old logging trails. These are not maintained for vehicular
traffic but are still perfectly useable for the purposes we are offering. These
roads and lands consist of thousands and thousands of acres of un-inhabited
forest land, all accessible from the Bunkhouse. The VAST snowmobile trail is
only a few hundred feet from the far end of our property. EQUESTRIAN FACILITIES:
A 90 x 200 outdoor riding arena. There are six 14 ft x 30 ft paddocks with cover
for your horses. A fenced in pasture with a run-in to accommodate 2-3 horses.
There is a Tack Shack with saddle racks and storage for all your equipment.
Lodging for you and your horse.
