January 7th, 2012 - 4th Annual Ladies Nordic Ski Expo
Trapp Family Lodge in Stowe, Vermont.
Join us for the first annual Ladies Nordic Ski Expo on Saturday, January 8th at
Trapp Family Lodge in Stowe, Vermont. As the name implies, this is a ski event
for women only and by women only. The Ski Expo is unique in that it will offer
women an opportunity to receive instruction in the traditional skinny-ski track
disciplines of both classic and skating as well as back-country and telemark
techniques. Participants will be able to pick and choose which type or types of
instruction they want to receive in this day long event. Instructors for the
event will be top-notch and will include some of the world’s best master skiers.
To maximize the learning opportunity, we will strive for a low pupil to teacher
ratio.

February 4-5, Intro to Backcountry Skiing for
Women at Bolton Valley Resort
This two-day program offers women a non-intimidating and fun introduction to

March 2-4, 2012 - Winter Doe Camp
Winter Doe Camp is sure to have something for everyone. March 2-4, 2012 at the
Hulbert Outdoor Center in Fairlee, VT! Women ages 18 and up can stay in heated
cabins at night and play in the snow all day. Classes in Winter skills will be

May 13–15th, 2011, Killington, VT - Women's Fly Fishing Retreat
The inspiration and mission of the newly established Women’s Fly Fishing
Institute is to introduce women to fly fishing and advance them in the sport by
offering a wide variety of classes, workshops, trips, and transformational fly
fishing retreats. WFFI is open to women of all ages and physical abilities.
Instruction is provided by some of the most talented and highly skilled women
guides in the Northeast. All classes and workshops can be customized according
to the interests of the participants. For 2011 we are launching the first annual
WFFI spring fly fishing retreat at Mountain Meadows Lodge in Killington,
Vermont. The all-inclusive weekend women's retreat begins Friday evening and
ends Sunday afternoon. There will be a comprehensive overview of everything you
need to know to feel confident as you begin your fly fishing adventures. The
setting is at a classic lodge on a trout-filled lake in beautiful Killington,
Vermont. The schedule is flexible and will allow plenty of free time to enjoy
other activities, such as kayaking, swimming, hiking, or just relaxing by the

May 21, Williston, VT - "Women on Target"
Introduction to Shotgun Sports
The North Country Sportsman's Club will host a "Women on Target" introduction to
shotgun sports event on May 21.
NCSC in conjunction with the NRA Foundation and Women On Target will be hosting
a Women On Target (WOT) event on Saturday, May 21st, 2011. WOT is an
instructional shooting clinic for women 14 years of age and older. The clinic
will consist of an hour of classroom instruction on shotguns and safety on the
range and then two hours of trap range instruction. There will be morning and
afternoon clinics with both clinics including in a Lunch N Learn session.
Registration for the morning session starts at 8:00 a.m. and the afternoon
registration starts at 12:30 p.m. The Lunch N Learn will be from 11:30 a.m.
until 12:30 p.m. and talk will consist of talks on shooting, clothing, and
hunting tips, and much more. NCSC will be providing lunch and drinks. Cost for
the clinic is $35.00 and will cover ammunition, guns, clay birds, and lunch.
NCSC welcomes anyone who would like to help out with this event and to pass the
word to the women of Vermont. There is a limit of 15 women per session so we
encourage early registration to ensure you get the clinic of your choice. If you

Hulbert is proud to announce it newest Outdoor adventure -a three-week Canadian
whitewater canoe expedition for girls ages 16-18. This course is expressly
designed for young women, drawing on the best practices of outdoor education,

The Girls Move Mountains Women’s Retreat offers beginner/intermediate mountain
bikers an exciting opportunity to refine biking skills and enjoy some incredible
Vermont riding. Yoga classes are designed to challenge and rejuvenate
practitioners of all levels. As part of our social mission at Singletrack
Mindfulness, we strive to support educational organizations like Girls Move

2011, Women's Canoe Trip to Maine's Rangeley Lakes
To honor the 106th
anniversary of the founding of the Aloha Girls Camp, Hulbert Outdoor Center’s
Road Scholar will offer it's second woman’s canoe trip to the Rangeley Lakes in
Maine. “Mother” Gulick, a forward thinking woman born in the late 1800’s, was a
leader in the camping movement and the concept that women as well as men should
be offered the joy of outdoor activity and physical challenge. Her daughter,
Carol Hulbert, her granddaughter Hattie Ball and her great granddaughter Shel
Ball were, and are, women who still lead by example in this area. The trip will
begin and end in Fairlee, Vermont and will be fully outfitted by the Hulbert
Outdoor Center. This program run in conjunction with Road Scholar/Elderhostel .
