At Vermont Adventure Tours we offer introduction to mountaineering courses that cover the skills climbers need to safely live in and navigate hazardous mountain terrain. We cover skills such as complex fixed rope set-up and movement, crevasse rescue, mountain navigation, backcountry skiing, and moving in rope teams. Courses are taught in Smuggler’s Notch, Vermont, and along the Presidential Traverse and the White Mountains of New Hampshire. Cost: Prices will vary depending on the duration of the course, number of people and other logistics. Please call to setup specific program details.
