Announcing Fall Doe Camp
at Jackson's Lodge in Canaan, VT.

Sept. 27-29, 2013

Jackson's Lodge & Log Cabins is a 54 years family tradition providing heated lakefront cabins on beautiful Lake Wallace. Jackson's Cafe is a local favorite for homemade breakfast and custom-order bakery. Proprietor, Gloria Jackson is pulling out all the stops to make this the best Fall Doe Camp ever. www.jacksonslodgevt.net

Several of our old friends are signing up to teach our most popular classes and we are adding some exciting new sessions.

Stuart Farina will be offering standup paddle boarding and kayaking classes.
We are asking our popular firearms safety instructors, Richard Bayer, Larry Hamel and John Kapusta back.
Survival instructor, Marty Simon will be offering a Wild Plant Walk, Survival Training and a Getting Unstuck, Understanding Your Vehicle class.

Archery, mountain biking, fly fishing and other popular classes are also in the works.

New this year:

Training your Hunting Dog and Bird Hunting with Dogs.
Handgun Self Defense and Personal Self Defense.
Garden Harvest and Pickling
Making Wild Game Meat Pies
Hunter Ed
Herbal Garden Walk
Fishing with Downriggers
Turkey Hunting & Calling

We are waiting for responses from several other instructors and will keep you posted as more classes are scheduled. As always, suggestions for classes are always welcomed.

VOW Potluck Rendezvous 2013

Given the success of last year's August rendezvous and cookout, we thought that there might be interest in doing it again. Maybe this year we should consider a spot closer to central Vermont, if there is enough interest. Any suggestions for a location and date? Let us know if you are interested.

Winter Doe Camp was a good time for all!

Many thanks go out to Hulbert Outdoor Center for hosting our Winter Doe Camp at the beginning of March. The weather was perfect and our instructors were awesome. We enjoyed the facilities, meals and staff so much that we are already planning Winter Doe Camp for Feb 28 - March 2, 2014 at Hulbert. Save the date if you are interested in attending and tell your friends.

You can visit: www.facebook.com/vermontoutdoorswoman  to see a bunch of photos from the weekend. If you haven't already, please like our Facebook page and keep up with our news.

Be sure to thank our sponsors for their generous support. You can view the list of sponsors and classes at: www.voga.org/winter_doe_camp.htm
