The Burlington workshops are OPEN to the PUBLIC. Registration for the Workshops in Burlington is handled through the Burlington Parks, Recreation and Waterfront. Please click HERE to enroll. May 11, 2019, Girls on the Run VT Central 5K
Over 1,000 girls, coaches, family members and friends of GOTR will lace up their shoes at Castleton University and take part in a 5K to support and celebrate the girls' completion of their 10-week life skills and empowerment program. Designed to allow every girl to recognize her inner strength, Girls on the Run inspires Vermont girls in 3rd - 8th grade to define their lives on their own terms through lessons that encourage positive emotional, social, physical and mental development. Participating in a Girls on the Run 5K gives the girls a tangible understanding of the confidence that comes through accomplishment. May 17-19, 2019, Women’s Weekend Retreat
A special weekend for women to gather, retreat, rest, engage and feel inspired. Massage, hiking, yoga, saunas, music and more. This is a weekend for you; you may participate as little or as much as you like. Meals will be communal gatherings around our farmhouse tables featuring local and seasonal food as available. . The focus will be on healthy and nourishing foods with some special treats included as well. Herbal tea will be plentiful. Dietary restrictions honored with advance notice. Presented by Against the Grain Gourmet, our 2018 Girls on the Run Southern 5k is unlike any other running event. It is a community celebration of Girl Power and the successful completion of our ten week Girls on the Run/Heart & Sole empowerment program. By the day of the 5k, the girls’ enthusiasm is so unbridled that they are running around before the race! Positive energy abounds as the girls dance to warm-up music, get their hair “happied” and faces painted, and wearing tutus and capes they gather with their teammates to hold hands and head to the starting line. Each 5k participant who crosses the finish line will be rewarded with a medal or ribbon.
